Camping in the Blue Ridge?
10% Veteran, Active Military, and first responders discount!
(Use Promo Code SKSMHJNX) when you book on HipCamp
Open 4 April to 2 November 2025.
Our primitive creek-side campsites provide a private setting to rest, relax and recharge after traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway or enjoying a ride through the country roads of Southwest Virginia.
For groups or those camping on a budget, pitch a tent in one of our field sites, featuring fire pits, picnic tables, a pond, and plenty of room to spread out. Our open field campsites are the best place for stargazing away from city lights.
We are primarily a campground that caters to tent camping and are motorcycle friendly; however, we can also accommodate car campers, vans, truck campers and small teardrop trailers at most sites.
We cannot accommodate RVs or travel trailers at this time. Have questions? Contact us

Our Campsites
We have 15 available campsites. Sites 1-6 are creekside sites and 7-15 are field sites. Site 12 and 13 are located right by the pond. Sites 14-15 are below the pond and we hold those for overflow sites. ALL sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and are numbered with lights to help you find your way in the dark. For site dimentions and more detailed information, please look on our HIPCAMP page.
Check in for campsites is 3 p.m. and check out is 12pm the following day. Pets are always welcome but should be leashed when exploring away from your campsite. No pets inside the flower fields, please. Port-o-johns are centrally located with a private changing area and hand washing station.
We do not offer long-term sites. Reservation maximum is 14 consecutive days.
Check out our HIPCAMP page for the latest pictures and availability to book your stay with us!
Amenities to enjoy.
Although the sites are primitive, there is a creek house by the campsites for changing, with a privy and hand washing sink. Need to charge your phone to catch photos of the gorgeous sunset? Outlets are available on the store porch where you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a snack while using the store wifi network. There are two showers located near the store. We have a 1/4 acre pond for your viewing pleasure but no swimming is allowed (keep scrolling to find out about fishing though).
Need to stretch your legs? Check out the beautiful 1 mile trail through the woods, complete with a picnic site at the top.
Forget something? We have you covered with all your essential camping supplies available for purchase in the store, along with keepsakes, local art and ice cream…just in case that hike made you hungry.
Don’t forget to request firewood, kindling, or farm fresh eggs when you make your reservations! We also have 8lb bags of ice, frozen water bottles and more in the store!
NEW in 2025!
Catch n’ Release Fishing in the pond
We’ve had a lot of questions about our pond. We constructed the pond in the winter of 2023 primarily as an agricultural pond after finding a natural spring in the field. After construction we started stocking the pond.
In 2025, we are opening the pond for campers only. If you book a campsite on Hipcamp, you can add fishing as an extra, or pay at the store when you check in. Cost is $20 a day. We have rod rentals, and basic tackle in the store.
The pond has been stocked with catfish, bluegill, redear, large mouth bass, and minnows.
